    Welcome

    Sierra Park is located in the Helena Valley next to Rossiter School. The park offers a variety of fields, trails, and equipment - all open to the general public. Please take a moment to check out the park's various features and facilities, described here.   2. Soccer

    Soccer

    Sierra Park is a well-known destination for a number of Helena's soccer organizations and camps. In particular, the park is home to the Vigilante Soccer Association. The park offers over 10 acres of lawn space containing goals and striping (per Vigilante). If your organization would like to play or practice at the park, please refer to our Organizations page for scheduling and contact information.

  3. Football

    Football

    The Sierra Park fields are often utilized by Helena valley football programs for practices and scrimmages. Over the years, a number of Helena's Small Fry Football teams have called the park home.   4. Baseball / Softball

    Baseball

    Sierra Park serves a number of Helena's baseball and softball programs. The park contains a total of 3 baseball diamonds with backstops. Two of the diamonds have been recently renovated by the Helena Merchants Baseball Association and the Helena Diamond Dawgz. If you are part of a group that would like to play or practice at the park, please refer to our Organizations page for scheduling and contact information.

  5. Trails

    Trails

    Sierra Park is boardered by a 4550 ft (.87 mile) exercise/nature trail. This tree-lined trail includes 6 exercise stations, 6 nature signs and numerous benches. "Doggy Pot" stations are located along the trail and elsewhere in the park, for those wishing to exercise pets. The park also contains a paved bike path - a continuation of the Sierra Road Trail. Bicycle racks are located along the path, next to the parking lot.

  6. Playgrounds

    Playgrounds

    Sierra Park offers a variety of playgrounds for young and old alike. The park contains 8 full horseshoe pits and 2 outdoor volleyball courts. In addition, the park lies adjacent to the Rossiter schoolyards. Although owned by Rossiter Elementary School, these playgrounds are open to the public and offer equipment such as jungle gyms, swings, and basketball hoops.

  7. Gatherings

    Gatherings

    Sierra Park is an ideal destination for public and private gatherings (see park rules). The park contains the Jewel Hurley Pavilion which houses 9 picnic tables (3 wheelchair accessible). Three shelters with picnic tables are available for smaller get-togethers. The park facilities include outhouses, trash receptacles, and electricity (upon permission). If you plan to conduct a medium to large function at the park or have any questions, please contact us.
